Love Letter to NOLA

New Orleanians are made of different stuff than other people. Fierce loyalty - to our families, to our home and to our culture. Unyielding support - to our friends, to our neighbors and to complete strangers. Reverential love - to our history, to our diversity, to our uniqueness. But the single most defining quality of a New Orleanian is their stubborn ability to truly LIVE regardless of circumstance.

Steve Gleason is battling ALS.  His motto through his fight has been "No White Flags."  NOLA has completely embraced Steve not just because of one blocked punt.  Nope.  It is because Steve, in his fight for his life, embodies the spirit of this community. We are proud that Steve calls himself a New Orleanian and I can promise you that we love him more than he loves us.

As the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaches, please consider making a donation to lightdat.org.  Steve has set up a fund to help light up the Evacuspot in Armstrong Park so that it is visible at night. This program will help many, many people escape the dangers of future hurricanes by providing a safe, well lit area to access evacuation services.

Peace, Love, NOLA
